28 Mar Multibillion-dollar Illinois health care system to use Madison startup’s health data platform
Madison startup Redox, which developed a secure network for exchanging health care data, has signed up one of the largest health care systems in the U.S. to use its platform.
Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare, which serves roughly three million people through its 124 locations, including 13 hospitals throughout Illinois and Michigan, generated net revenue of $2.8 billion for its fiscal 2018 calendar year. The system is operated by The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis and employs nearly 21,000 people.
“Redox has become the gold standard in health care cloud integration,” said Rob Jennetten, director of innovation partnerships at OSF HealthCare in a statement provided by the organization. “Beyond the benefits of the platform, we chose Redox because many of the applications we’re adopting are already part of the network. This will allow us to accelerate testing and implementation of these next-generation applications. Redox is integral to our digital transformation roadmap.”
