Madison’s heavier presence at SXSW is paying off

Greater Madison was well represented at South by Southwest Interactive this year. Madison startup Redox pitched at the official SXSW Accelerator. Chamber President Zach Brandon, who served as a head coach for the event, noted some raised eyebrows by some of the competing international companies as to why a Chamber President would serve in this capacity. “As soon as people make the connection between Madison and Epic and our growing health tech ecosystem, they immediately understand it. 

Also at SXSW, Exact Sciences CEO Kevin Conroy participated on a panel discussion about the future of cancer detection.

Closing out the event, American Family Insurance and the Greater Madison Chamber hosted a Madtown Getdown, bringing together greater Madison’s talent with companies, investors and other select SXSW attendees.”
